A is for April, Arabic, and Awesome Things

This post is part of the A-Z Blogging Challenge.

So … it’s April. New month, ever-growing to-do list, and Camp NaNoWriMo. Except, this year I’m doing my own version of Camp NaNoWriMo: translating 50,000 words instead of writing them. Sounds daunting, right? But 50,000 words in 30 days is less than 1700 words a day. I can comfortably do double of that in an 8-hour workday, so it’s not going to be that hard.

I guess the challenge would be in finding clients with that much text to be translated. Guess I’ll have to work really hard on the marketing side of things in the next few days!

Arabic is the language I translate into and/or from, and I’ve been looking for some interesting Arabic books to read. I found a two-volume set that I purchased two years ago and never got around to reading, titled “What Did Muslims Add to the World?” I’ll be reading that this month too.

As for awesome things, well, one could say life is full of them! Nothing specific to April, just needed a third thing to add to the title 😀

I intend to continue blogging everyday throughout April, following the A-Z Blogging Challenge. Stay tuned!
